Book 1: Exploration Modeling of Base Metal Deposits
The book is intended to be a base reference for the students pursuing Masters level courses in Pure and Applied Geology. It has reviewed the understanding of complex and diversified geology of known base metal deposits developed by researchers during last century. A simplified geological settings and events have been evolved to correlate a linkage between the major world-class base metal deposits. The basic parameters identified are surface signature – if any, comparative statement of succession, lithological affinity, basin evolution, structure, continuity, and geo-chronology. The concept of resource prediction, variable cut-off grade, sequential evaluation, sample optimization, deposit modeling, grade-tonnage relation has been introduced with case studies. Finally the book culminates by developing an open-ended logical dynamic exploration model for decision ability to accept, modify and continue during the multidisciplinary sequential exploration program.
